Pull Out Testing

Pull-out testing is an industry standard method of testing the anchorage or pull-out capacity of fixings. This can be anything from vertical pull test from a concrete base or a wall mounted test from a gable end, the machine we use is dependant on the anchor in question. Each machine is equipped for different scenarios and test to a different range of forces. The machine is mounted to the fixing and a pressure (specified by the client) is applied; the test will then determine the structural capability of the fixing in question. All tests on fixings are carried out in accordance with British Standard BS8539.

Here at Kingstal, we are capable of completing testing to a maximum of 145kN. We have trained professionals ready and equipped with Hydrajaws models M2000 (25kN) & M2008 (145kN) ready to carry out your pull test requirements. These machines are designed to test fixings such as Hexagonal head bolts, eye bolts, studs and screws up to M30. Once tested, we issue a certificate of conformance to confirm the fixing has been tested as required. On the contrary, should any of the fixings do fail, we will be aware that they are not fit for purpose. This is apparent when testing existing fixings as they may loosen over time but not be noticeable until a valid pull test has been applied.

Kingstal eliminate the need for multiple contractors to be involved in your bespoke project.
